Cor de Klerk
Cor joined TCG in 2003, following a 30-year career in operations and management for a major banking institution.
Cor has had various roles in the banking industry, ranging from auditor and IT auditor, project and program management through to senior management positions in operations, administration and IT. Cor has gained extensive international experience, working long-term in the United Kingdom, Singapore, Belgium, Germany and France. Cor has also managed regional operations in Asia Pacific, Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe.
Cor is known his expert knowledge and for finalizing complex programs within time and budget limits. He has implemented a core banking system in number of European countries, an electronic banking system for the Eastern European region and the Euro Conversion and Global Anti Money Laundering Infrastructure Program.
Within TCG, Cor uses his expert knowledge of the industry to deliver complex projects. He specializes primarily in operations and IT consulting with a focus on improving efficiency, risk management, information management, transparency, reporting and selecting and delivering core systems.
Cor ran number of highly successful projects in TCG in the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine and Kosovo. Among the remarkable were designing the approach for an International bank for implementation of Target II; European Corporate Payments System. The roll-out was done successfully based on this concept by internal bank staff and Target II drove the bank to increased efficiency within the European corporate payments market.
Cor ran a project with IT and Operational specialists, preparing a blueprint for setting up foreign branches for an international bank that was successfully used by the bank for number of branches around the world.
Also, under Cor’s leadership, a sizeable Ukrainian Bank created a blueprint for selection approach to choosing a core banking package. The system is now being implemented with the TCG’s support.
All the above projects were difficult, but as a result of Cor’s drive and lengthy experience, they were all delivered within time and budget and led to improved efficiency in many areas.
Cor is fluent in Dutch, English, German and French.
